[Minato may not much like the cold, but it's still preferable to staying inside after that entire...everything. He's got his hands shoved deeply into his coat pocket as he stares out at the snow (so...so much snow...), and then he takes a few steps out to wander a bit more.
He's only like a few steps into the ski area before he stops being quite so cautious with his footing, steps on a patch of ice, and faceplants.
[ owain is doing the whole "quiet warrior stares out into the landscape" shtick. the cold has always been home to him, the best place for him to clear his head. unlike the journey here, he only has one (1) sword at his side.
he lets out a sigh before the sound of a faceplant interrupts his QUIET mediation. ]
Though, the Staff seem insistent on us playing. Who knows what methods that they will go through to ensure that we play along with their games. It already seems as though they employed one to keep us trapped here.
Even if we're at a disadvantage... fighting against impossible odds is what heroism is all about, right...? [Or something like that, he's not really sure.]
[The courtyard is a good place to go to try to clear their heads--which is exactly what Minato's doing here. He's quiet for a moment, though he sees Owain there; for a moment, all he needs is to drag in a few slow breaths, hands shoved into his pockets, and try to process all of that.
Because damn.
That sure was a lot.
Eventually, though... he does stroll closer, head tilted.]
[ The courtyard is honestly the best place to being outside that they have at the moment. It's where Owain always felt at his best. He's forgone a jacket for the time being, just wanting to feel the chill in the air and come down from everything that's happened over the past three days.
He hears footsteps head his way, and turns, smiling when he sees it's Minato. ]
week 1, Monday

ANYWAY HOW YOU DOING, OWAIN.]

--Ah! Are you alright?!
[ rushing to minato's side to help him up ]
no subject
Which is to say that he's grimacing as he gets up, accepting Owain's help with a quiet nod.]
Sorry... wasn't ready for the ice.
[Nobody's ever ready for the ice.]
Thanks, though.
no subject
[ and owain gives minato a slightly strained smile ]
Were you planning on skiing?
no subject
Ah... No. I honestly don't know how.
I actually just wanted to get some air. What about you...?
no subject
[ he looks back out at the scenery in front of them ]
I feel that I could always think better outside.
no subject
[It helps keep him from thinking that this is a dream, and letting himself try to not accept that this is real when it's so important that he does.]
... Any luck on the thinking part of things?
no subject
No, not yet. Were you trying to think about the game that the Staff wants us to play?
no subject
[A firm shake of his head, and:]
But I don't believe anyone here will cave that easily and agree to something like that. Even if they say we'll be punished.
no subject
[ he glances at minato ]

[It's not a good situation, but...]

no subject
That it is! A hero rises to whatever challenge is presented them and surpasses it, overcoming even the most insurmountable odds!
[ a beat ] I just worry about the others.
no subject
[A beat, and quietly:]
... But you know... your confidence and your energy gives a lot of people strength and relief.

week 3, Sunday
Because damn.
That sure was a lot.
Eventually, though... he does stroll closer, head tilted.]
How are your injuries, Owain-san?
no subject
He hears footsteps head his way, and turns, smiling when he sees it's Minato. ]
They're fine, thanks to you and Cinque, Minato.
no subject
[Sincerely and brightly. Minato's bundled up, in distinct contrast to Owain, but...he doesn't like being cold.]
I figured I'd check up anyway... it was a pretty nasty gash. And... a pretty crazy situation in general.
no subject
I... don't know how we managed to secure the ending we did.
no subject
I think... when it comes down to it, it was a lot of people following their hearts.
And that...brought us here.
[Isn't that amazing?]
no subject
no subject
I do hope that means less self-sacrifice in the future, though.

[ a beat ]
And... there's Akira's role.
no subject
... I've spoken with him about that. I hope... he'll think long and hard before using it.
But... it's impossible to really say what will happen next.

I think all we can really do here is trust in each other as best we can.
