[At first, when your SFC clicks on, all that can be seen is blue--the blue of the ocean above the barrier. The video seems to be...rocking back and forth, slowly, and the gentle slap slap slap of what might be...small waves...? against something can be heard.

A long pause.

Then the video shifts and changes before settling on a young man who seems to be...lying down, holding the SFC up, peering at it.

A red light...?]

...It's recording...?

[A puzzled (and slightly soggy) blink, and he begins to sit up.]

Why am I on a boat--

[Too late. His sitting up tilts the small boat off balance.

Yeah, there are. I've talked to a few people who are from ... well, I don't really remember. He was a vampire.

[This is...kind of not very easy to talk about, all things considered, but well. It is a sound theory.]

Then perhaps I don't exist in your timeline, and...Haruka Arisato does in my place.

[Different worlds. Which makes this a...different Akihiko? ...Strange.]

But how is that possible? We're both dealing with the same problem, in the same place and --

[Trying to get this around his head. Finally, it clicks.]

... I know that there are a lot of things that can happen, especially since I've been here, but not this.

It sounds as though there are a number of mysteries about this place. Perhaps this is just another of them.

Hrmm. He supposes his mp3 player is broken now. That's a shame.]

What was the date for you back home, senpai?

[That also means that Akihiko isn't from after his (or Haruka's?) choice. Interesting.]

[This is so hard for him to even deal with. He can't stand not knowing who this person was.]

[It is hard on this side of the screen as well, particularly since he is still trying to figure out how, exactly, he ended up in another world, of all things. And a familiar face--not so familiar, it would seem.

Still, it is reassuring to have Akihiko there...even if he doesn't remember.]

I hope that I will get the chance to meet her soon, then.

[Still acting as senpai, even if he isn't his senpai. It's only all the more reassuring, because even if Minato is the group's elected 'leader'...he is still wet and confused and in an unknown world.

[A pause. He tilts his head, looking around.]

I'm by a lake right now. If the plaza you were talking about is towards the center of the city, I think I can find it, however, if you would rather meet there.

Sounds good, I trust you. I'll be there in a few.

[If what he believed to be true was indeed true, that he remembered Haruka in place of him, that maybe lead to the idea that Minato could summon different personae just like Haruka, then he could trust Minato's judgement.]

[He does manage to find the plaza, and not with much difficulty. The entire city does seem to be built around it, after all.

When Akihiko gets there, Minato will be standing by the coral, inspecting it with an air of absentness, hands in his pockets and slouching.

Blink. Blink.

Oh hey. He straightens slightly, turning.]

Akihiko-senpai.

[Akihiko smiles, walking up to him.]

I take it the plaza wasn't too hard to find?

[He nods in the direction of a few shops.]

[And he's going to begin walking in the direction of those lovely shops, hoping for Minato to follow him.]

[He falls into step easily, nodding.]

It seems to be an important point in the city. Is it because of the coral?

I think so, I mean, the locals seem to worship the coral in a way. Or so I've heard.

[He gives a bit of a chuckle.]

I suppose I should warn you about the curse that's going on this week.

They worship the coral? Is there some sort of power in it--

[...]

[Wat, senpai. Why did you not mention this before--]

I think the coral is what keeps us here, in a way, or it made the barrier -- something like that. It can heal us if we're sick, all we need to do is touch it.

[He doesn't quite understand it himself.]

When darkness hits, ghost pirates attack the city. There are safehouses we can go to, though, that the ghosts can't get to.

[Healing coral that traps them here and ghost pirates. Right right, okay. Important matters first--]

Can we still fight the pirates? Even if they are ghosts?

[Doesn't that imply intangible?]

And what about everyone else in the city?

[Do they need to save more people? :c]

Yeah, they can die, but it doesn't mean that more don't come to replace them. They're like Shadows, only much weaker.

[He sighs.]

Some people can fight and some can't. I've been helping out as much as I can, but fighting and using my persona in general tires me out, it's safe to say this place drains our energy.

[He nods again, indicating his understanding. But--]

Have you been fighting them all alone, senpai?

On some occassions, yes, but it's what I have to do.

[Moenato is so onto you. He knows you.]

Maybe we should head out in teams from now on. It would be safer, and we would also be able to accomplish much more.
