[At first, when your SFC clicks on, all that can be seen is blue--the blue of the ocean above the barrier. The video seems to be...rocking back and forth, slowly, and the gentle slap slap slap of what might be...small waves...? against something can be heard.

A long pause.

Then the video shifts and changes before settling on a young man who seems to be...lying down, holding the SFC up, peering at it.

A red light...?]

...It's recording...?

[A puzzled (and slightly soggy) blink, and he begins to sit up.]

Why am I on a boat--

[Too late. His sitting up tilts the small boat off balance.

[She shakes her head again.] I came here from another world, just like you and a lot of other people here.

We've all made this our home for now. Until we can find a way back to where we're supposed to be...

Have you been here long?

Yes. I've been here a few months. Some people I know have been here even longer.

[...That is a long time, yes. Er. It's a little nice to not have to worry about that choice he has to make, but at the same time, he kind of...needs to be there to make it.]

If no exit has been discovered, am I right in saying that everyone who has been brought here has been forced to stay?

[A nod.] Yes. You're right.

If it makes you feel any better...everything is free here. Even housing.

Is there anything else I should know about this...world?

Well, we're stuck under the ocean. There's a barrier around the city, so the water doesn't get in...

There is a group of blue glowing coral in the middle of the city called Lamufao. Sometimes, the Lamufao makes people who've arrived here, like you and me, suffer curse. These curses can be anything, from switching bodies to losing one's memories. They only last for one week, though.

[A nod.]

This coral...we know that it is the cause of the curses?

That's what most of the people think...it hasn't been proven yet, though.

I am from a place called Japan. Can I take it you are from elsewhere?

[A nod. She wanted to say that she was from Castle Oblivion, but the place held so many bad memories that she went with the next placeshe could think of.]

I'm from a place called Twilight Town. But it's interesting- what is Japan like?

I actually am from a city in Japan known as Iwatodai. It can be busy, but it is a good place to live.

What about yourself, Namine-chan? What is Twilight Town like?

[A thoughtful look.] Well, the sun is always setting in Twilight Town- there's never any night or daytime. But the people there are nice, and there's a lovely forest outside of town.

Oh, and they have a big clock tower that keeps the time. It's really quite pretty.

I don't really know. But no matter what time of day it is, there's always a sunset.

That's why it's called Twilight Town.

And why they need to have a clock tower that everyone can see as well?

[After all, it'd be pretty hard to keep track of time without a daytime or nighttime, he imagines.]

Yes, the clock tower is there because of the constant sunset...I think it also tells when the trains come to town. I remember there was a train station there.

Trains are familiar to me as well. They were common back home.

Have you lived in Twilight Town all of your life, Namine-chan?

Really? Guess many places have the same things...

[She smiles, though there's something...sad about it.]

No, I haven't. I only went there a year ago.

[Noticing that! And...this means to gently veer away from that topic.]

Are you enjoying yourself there now? Or...rather, were you, before Vatheon?

[Aw, so nice, Minato.]

Well, I liked the place. But I was doing a very important job there...a job that was helping a friend of mine.

[Ahhh. He understands the feeling, and nods.]

It sounds very important. When you go back, I am sure you'll be able to continue that job for your friend.

[She laughs sweetly.] Ah, he's actually already here! His name is Sora. Apparently what I was doing helped in the end.
