Normally I'd have Magnemite Thunderwave it and then Thundershock it until it's cowed.

I... Don't know if that's... smart... any more. It's starting to rebel even with Magnemite around at feeding time. [It's hard for the teen to admit it - Harder still to admit that he doesn't know.] I'd rather not a repeat performance of the debacle with Morty. It was disgusting and pitiful and it should not have happened.

[He just listens, and finally he speaks, his tone patient and lacking in any judgement either way. His own opinion of Silver's treatment of his Pokemon will remain his own. He just promised that he would help.]

If that hasn't worked, then another solution has to be found. Do you have any ideas?

Without further words. Silver stands and lets the pokemon out of it's pokeball and Feraligatr rears up with a rather feral snarl before coming back down on it's front legs, watching the two humans closely. Silver takes half a step back.]

[He takes a cautious half a step back when Silver tells him to, though overall he isn't particularly frightened.

Yes, the Feraligatr is rather vicious looking, but Minato has seen scarier (much scarier) from shadows. He promised he would be here to help.

So he stands his ground, watching, curious what it is Silver is going to do.]

[For a moment, Silver just ands there before starting to approach the pokemon, who snarls at him, not allowing the teen to even get around to his side - even with orders to stay still. Eventually, Silver's patience snaps, and he lashes out - verbally, for now.] Stay still and let me inspect your worthless hide you stupid thing.

[Not that it works - just gets another snarl - and a snap of the jaws in the air. Silver wisely retreats, though anger is written all over him.] Stupid piece of shit. Completely worthless and doesn't even obey me.

[He's silent, watching this, watching watching watching and finally--]

.... [If asked back home, he'd say that he'd just abandon it - get rid of a worthless, useless thing, But here - Here has so many seemingly against him that he wants to prove them wrong -- And, more importantly, were would he dump the pokemon?]

Gold... said that I should treat it like I did Bree. That... The rest of them.. The rest of them too and that would help.

...I think it will take a lot of time. But if this isn't working, then trying to treat them in a different way is a start to finding something that will work.

It's good to listen to your friends. But like I said before, Silver-san. I think you can find a way to treat and practice with your Pokemon that is unique to you. You just have to find it.

Sometimes it's really difficult to win a fight if you can't depend on your team. And Silver-san, if you can't trust them, I don't think they will trust you.

It...isn't the same as this, but I do have a team. And we have to trust each other, or we can't fight together properly.

Wouldn't it feel better if you could trust them...?

I fail to see how trusting the bunch of morons would make them more effective on the battlefield.

Trust isn't import - what's important is that they obey and do as they are told, no matter what. I do not have a use for disobedient things.

Because I trust my team, I know that I can trust them to do what I'll need them to do when I need them to do it. And...because they trust me in return, they'll always listen to me when I give orders.

It's all a matter of trust, I think.

All that matters is obedience to my commands. If they obey, they don't get hurt.

If they can trust you, they will listen to you.

If they can't trust you, why should they? Would you listen to someone you didn't trust, at least a little?
