UNKNOWN
JAKE ENGLISH
Odd, but very kind. Minato's grateful to Jake for trying to help him out when he was struggling, and in return he's more than willing to be patient with Jake's moments of awkward and uncertainty. It's not like he can blame him, after all. People are hard. But Jake seems like a perfectly nice kid, and Minato doesn't yet have any idea that he's a Homestuck and therefore understanding his life is going to be a disaster.
RANK 4
FOOL
AKIRA KURUSU
Another Wild Card and Persona user, which is fascinating. They've gotten a bit better about talking about their lives and the things they've experienced, which in return has made their relationship a lot more casual. Minato enjoys learning about Akira and the things he's been through; in a way, it's like looking at someone's Journey from the outside.

Still, the more he learns about Akira's Velvet Room, the more convinced he is that there's something very wrong going on there. He doesn't know what, not yet--but Akira's heart is nothing like a prison, and Minato will stand by that with everything he has.

RANK 5
FOOL
IZUKU MIDORIYA
Izuku has been nothing but encouraging the entire time Minato's known him. They're going to spend time working on making Minato's summoning ability a bit less...alarming... and there's nobody Minato would trust more than Izuku with that. On top of that, Izuku has always looked after him and tried to take care of him--it's endearing.

Minato thinks that Izuku's own goals are incredibly inspiring; if anyone can be an amazing hero, it'll be Izuku, right? After all... someone who cares that much for the people around him is someone who can be trusted to do what's right.

RANK 5
FOOL
DEXTERA
They have a bond, and that's something both important and precious. Dextera has been through a lot, and the better Minato gets to know him, the more he wants to support him. Minato's not foolish enough to think that at some point, they won't have to all split apart in some way, but--while he's able to do so, if he can convince Dextera that their bond will stay steady no matter what, maybe that will give him some strength.

Whatever Dextera has to do, whatever life he has to lead... Minato knows that happiness is fleeting and precious for him, which means that he's just absolutely certain here and now that Dextera deserves all of the happiness he can possibly muster, and Minato has to do his part, too.

RANK 5
FOOL
ARSENE LUPIN
Yes, the real Arsene Lupin. Minato treasures Lupin's company when he gets it; it's comfortable, but Lupin is still an adult and someone he can both respect and trust. It sounds silly, but that's the sort of relationship that Minato really treasures; he hasn't known many adults who he could really count and depend on, but he's pretty sure Lupin is one of those adults.

He's showed him a lot of new and exciting things, taken care of him when he was down and been there for him in so many different ways; now Minato just wants to do what he can for Lupin in return. It only seems fair, right?

RANK 1
MAGICIAN
OUNI
Ouni is someone incredibly tragic. Tragic but strong, and willing to carry on all on his own for as long as he needs to... that's the sense Minato gets from him. And really, Minato wants to do so much more for Ouni than Ouni will allow him to. Ouni's strong... but also so, so weak in that way.

He's only getting bits and pieces of Ouni's life, and every time it seems like he's making any sort of progress, he gets blocked off or barred... but it just means he has to stick with it and try harder. Because Ouni deserves better than to think he's all alone, all the time. He won't be--not if Minato has anything to say about it.

RANK 2
MAGICIAN
SUMMER MORAN
They bonded over music and magic and beating up werewolves, but Minato's already pretty sure she's going to make for a great friend. She's got some sass and fire to her, but rolling with that sort of thing is second nature at this point, and she's honestly a very interesting person to be around. Either way, he's definitely interested in getting to know her better when he can.
RANK 1
EMPRESS
HARU OKUMURA
Someone who, no matter how he looks at it, has been through a hell of a lot, Haru is someone that Minato's immediately wanted to help out however he can. She arrived in this place immediately after a painful and tragic event, and while Minato knows he can't completely understand, he does feel a bit of kinship with her. If there's anything he can do to help her get settled here and smile a little more, he'll definitely do it.
RANK 2
EMPRESS
MARIBELLE
A very sweet lady who is elegant to the extreme. Minato's not entirely sure how to deal with her sometimes, sans trying to be very respectful. But elegant as she is, she's still very caring, and has gone out of her way to try to help him a number of times. He's grateful to her for that, and pretty eager to get to know her better when he can.
RANK 8
EMPRESS
MITSURU KIRIJO
If there's something Minato is grateful for to this place beyond just being able to breathe again, it's being able to see Mitsuru again. If he was to have any one regret, it would be not being able to properly bid farewell to his friends, when he hadn't been able to stay awake just a little while longer, and now he's given the chance to do so... if he can bring himself to.

And yet now, all he wants to do is stay close and embrace this opportunity, instead of properly saying farewell. He knows he's probably just going to cause Mitsuru even more pain this way, and it's selfish. But he can't help it. For now, he can't say goodbye.

Mitsuru is the same shining, incredible senpai she's always been, after all. She's impressive, she's strong, and she's competent--and as ever, Minato wants to be able to support her when she needs it. Being able to have that role, even just passively, is really all he needs.

She's not here anymore. Minato can't help but feel like he let a very important opportunity slip through his fingers, but he hopes she's safe at home.

RANK 4
EMPEROR
GUREN ICHINOSE
Guren is by far one of the people in this place Minato worried about most. He takes care of everyone else constantly, he takes so many burdens on his shoulders, he apparently has a demon that is trying to tempt him 24/7, and still he brushes off concern, and food, and sleep to focus on everyone else.

It just makes Minato want to help him even more, though, especially because Guren called him "family"--and for an orphan, family's a concept he's incredibly loyal to. He'll do what he can, over and over and over again, no matter what. Guren deserves someone to look after him just as he looks after everyone else, and it doesn't matter how gruff or tsundere he gets about it.

Minato can handle that, and if it helps even a little bit, he'll be content. It's felt to him like Guren has had to take care of him far too much; he'd like to repay the favor, even if just a little.

RANK 3
EMPEROR
YUSUKE KITAGAWA
Another Persona user, one of Akira's team. He's able to summon his Persona via costume, something Minato is still wickedly jealous of. But Yusuke is a thoughtful, quiet sort, and while he can be a bit of an oddball, Minato really does treasure his way of looking at the world. It makes Minato take another look at the world around him too, a reminder that he definitely needs. No matter what answers he's found, there's always more to learn.

He is very concerned about Yusuke's eating habits though. He'll just have to make sure to keep feeding him, right...?

RANK 2
HEIROPHANT
KEI NANJO
Apparently, a Persona-user from another generation. Minato's incredibly curious about him, and the trials he faced--but it doesn't sound like they were very easy, either, and so Minato's content to wait until Nanjo's willing to talk about them on his own.

For now, he honestly seems stuffy, but sincerely kind. Minato hasn't forgotten that he was willing to use his Persona and energy to try to silence the furniture for Minato, and that's something he's very grateful for. You really can't judge a book by its cover at all, right? He's still pretty stiff, but slowly, they're starting to learn about each other.

RANK 1
CHARIOT
PERCY JACKSON
A demigod from Greek myth...? It sounds pretty fantastical, but Minato's seen weirder by now, so he believes him. More importantly, it seems as though Percy has been through some incredibly difficult times, and so he's worried about him quite a bit. They don't know each other well, but even so... he feels an odd level of kinship. Maybe it's because of his own Persona, and the fact that he understands very keenly the idea of Greek tragedy and self-sacrifice, but still...

If there's anything Minato can do here to help make Percy's life a little easier, he wants to do it. Percy should be able to take a bit of a breather here, maybe, where his life isn't a constant trainwreck of tragedy, even if Minato has to put in some extra effort to make that happen.

RANK 6
CHARIOT
CARAMIA
The more he's learned about Caramia, the more concerned he is for him. Caramia's kind, warm-hearted, and sweet, but he's also someone who wants everyone to worry about themselves over him, and Minato can't do that. He'll always be concerned--there's a lot going on in Caramia's life, and Minato's pretty sure he's only scratched the surface.

But Caramia is family. They're all family, right? So he won't let up and he won't back down. Whatever he can do to be there for Caramia, whatever he can do to help...he wants to do it, and then some. It's only right, after all. He cares too much about Caramia to stop now.

RANK 3
CHARIOT
OKUYASU NIJIMURA
He comes across like a punk, and yet he's so much nicer than he pretends to be. Okuyasu's got a way of brightening up the room, no matter whether he's trying to or not; it's something Minato thinks is both endearing and sorely needed here, and he's grateful for it. Okuyasu can also summon a Stand, which is strangely similar to a Persona, though he doesn't need an Evoker to do it... Minato kind of wants to get tips from him, but the last time he tried, it didn't enlighten him much. Oh well. Even knowing Okuyasu can do it has given him a bit of hope that he'll get there himself.

If there's anyone who would make for a great duo with Ochako, it's Okuyasu, so he's grateful that they're together and able to bolster and take care of each other when need be.

RANK 3
STRENGTH
NOCTIS LUCIS CAELUM
Noctis is a good friend, and that's what it really boils down to. Minato enjoys his company and is very grateful for it, and the more time he spends with Noctis, the more sure of that he is.

There's definitely something to be said about being able to just have someone he can peacefully chill with, though he's definitely a little concerned about Noctis despite himself. There's clearly a lot going on with him, but... maybe providing quiet support will be enough for now, until he's willing to talk about it.

RANK 3
STRENGTH
TONBOKIRI
Tonbokiri is incredibly strong, and a source of steady strength at that. Minato's still a little awed, of course, to realize that he's met and is now being trained by a tsukumogami who's also the legendary spear of Tadakatsu Honda, but he's starting to come to terms with it because of how down to earth and kind Tonbokiri is.

He's definitely lucky to have such a patient and skilled teacher, and if there's ever anything Minato can do for Tonbokiri in return, he'll do it in a heartbeat. Until then? Being able to learn from him is something he'll gladly embrace. Every time they meet, Minato feels a little steadier and a little calmer; in a place like this, that really is a gift.

RANK 3
STRENGTH
JOHN EGBERT
Despite Homestucks being Homestucks, John is someone who has, in a lot of ways, been the most relatable person here for Minato. Being able to talk about movies during the insanity of this place helps normalize it, for better or for worse, and Minato will gladly take it.

John's clearly dealing with a lot of big decisions he has to make back home and a lot of worrisome things that are sitting on his shoulders; Minato's worried, but all he can really do is offer his support until John either comes to a decision, or is ready to talk about it more.

RANK 2
HERMIT
BRUCE WAYNE
Minato's kind of messed this one up a bit by spilling what could've been poison all over Bruce (thankfully, it was not poison). Still, Bruce has been nothing but kind to him, helping him out multiple times and doing his best to take care of the people around here, in a way that's...very, very Dad-like. He's grateful for it. Even more than him, a lot of people need that sort of guidance here; he's glad Bruce is here to give it.

He totally knows you're Batman, though. That's not something you bring up in polite company, right...?

RANK 4
FORTUNE
DAVE STRIDER
They've got a promise to take care of each other and tell each other when something's wrong, and even a promise as simple as that means a lot to Minato. He intends to hold onto it, and keep that promise with everything he has.

Their relationship is pretty lowkey and chill most of the time, but that's fine, isn't it? They're friends, plain and simple, and Minato's content to just be what Dave needs from him at any point, regardless of if that means dancing together, or just chilling and sharing music. A relationship like that really does help a lot in a place like this.

RANK 8
FORTUNE
RYOJI MOCHIZUKI
To say they've had a rocky relationship would be a massive understatement, but despite everything, Minato's sincerely happy to see Ryoji here. This isn't exactly the best place to have a second life, no... but it's better than nothing, and if anyone has ever deserved a second chance to live their own, best life, it's Ryoji.

Of course, things have already been a little rough here already. Ryoji's already had to deal with pain, and difficult situations, and trying to cope with them. But it's okay. Ryoji's stronger than he even gives himself credit for, Minato thinks, and so long as he keeps his head up and keeps moving forward, he'll be okay. He'll be able to make friends, and find his own purpose in life, because in a lot of ways, Ryoji is a lot brighter and warmer than Minato himself is. So it's easy to have faith and confidence in that.

So in the meantime, Minato will just try to encourage him in whatever ways he can, and maybe, just maybe, they'll be able to have a proper friendship without all of the baggage weighing them down, a friendship on their own terms and not fate's. It'd be nice, he thinks.

It's sad to see him gone, and to know that he'll probably never see him again. If he thinks about it too hard, it feels a bit like that day in December all over again.

RANK 4
JUSTICE
GORO AKECHI
Another Persona user, and one of Akira's team (?). Either way, he seems like the sort of person who likes to help others, and Minato can respect that. Even if some of their conversations have gone to weird places, he has no reason to believe Akechi is anything but a kind person who uses his Persona for good. After all, that's what a Persona like Robin Hood would mean, right?

So he's content to keep getting to know him at Akechi's own pace, curious to see how their experiences as Persona users match up, and what things they can learn from each other.

RANK 4
JUSTICE
SHIHO SANNOMIYA
Shiho's incredibly endearing as a person. Minato hasn't dealt with a tsundere of her caliber since Yukari, and there's something very, very nostalgic about it in a way that he enjoys. But even with all of that aside, Shiho's always been very kind, no matter what she tries to pretend, and he's grateful to her for everything she's done.

They've made promises to stick together and help each other out when they need it, and Minato intends to keep those promises as best he can. He's still not good at leaning on people, but...she's earned his trust, and her kindness in extending that offer is something he won't forget.

RANK 2
HANGED MAN
IGNIS SCIENTIA
An extremely reliable adult. In truth, Minato still doesn't know Ignis that well, but they're both polite, well-mannered people, so Minato's fine with it taking awhile. In the meantime, Ignis is the sort of person who's so reliable it's scary, and Minato knows that Noctis is in good hands with him.

(He's not sure exactly how far their relationship extends though...? Maybe he should ask.)

RANK 5
HANGED MAN
KYRIE
Kyrie is someone who undoubtedly has a lot buried deep under all of those layers, but that just makes Minato want to get to know him even more. It was kind of fortuitous that he was able to be assigned to Kyrie, he thinks, even if Kyrie delights in making his life hard--after all, it allowed him to properly get to know him.

No matter how difficult Kyrie's been, Minato's gotten to know him a bit better now, and he really does treasure their relationship, even if he's the only one to do so. He's always pleased when Kyrie offers up compliments--rare as they are, he knows they're sincere and to be treasured. Now that he knows more about Kyrie and his past... more than anything, he wants to do what he can to make Kyrie feel less alone--though he knows that nobody can really help more than Caramia.

Also, Minato is still determined to get a "passing grade" out of Kyrie one of these days. He hasn't forgotten!

RANK 4
DEATH
JOSHUA BRIGHT
Joshua is probably the kindest and most mild-mannered trainwreck Minato's ever met. He's clearly got a very heavy, laden past, but even so he's able to smile and peacefully offer up all sorts of very strange trivia. Joshua's talked about his past a bit now, and the things he's been through are honestly horrifying.

But Minato's sure of one thing. Joshua can be better than his past. He has to just try to overcome it with the help of people here, and Minato will be there every step of the way, encouraging, cajoling and convincing him that everything's going to work out okay. Joshua's too strong for it not to.

RANK 6
DEATH
VRISKA SERKET
His roommate, and someone that Minato didn't expect to end up caring for quite so much so quickly. She's his roommate, but also a very lonely girl who needs someone to take care of her and look after her. Over and over, she's tried to push him away, but stubbornly, he wouldn't go.

After all, all he saw was a very, very lonely girl, coming from a world that he really, really couldn't even hope to understand. He's not here to judge her, nor the people who are upset with her. None of that is any of his business. He just wants to take care of her, and make sure that she doesn't look that sad again.

He always keeps his promises, after all.

RANK 2
TOWER
KEITH
If there has ever been someone to whom "reckless" and "no self-preservation" applies to, it's Keith. Minato can't help but worry, knowing what he knows about Keith; he understands all about not treasuring his life as much as everyone else's, but still, Keith. Love yourself.

Still, there's something impressive about it. Despite everything, Keith's fierce focus on getting everyone else back home no matter what resonates with Minato. It'll keep him from getting complacent, which would be far too easy in a place like this. So he'll do what he can to help Keith out (and from getting himself killed)...and in the meantime, he'll be grateful for the little mental kicks Keith helps to give him to keep him going.

RANK 1
STAR
ESTELLE BRIGHT
Bright, earnest and energetic, Estelle is the sort of person who Minato can't help but admire. She's always trying to help other people out, and that's something he can relate to--but he also knows that people like her, who bring joy to everyone they meet, are far better at it. He's glad that someone like her is here, both for the sake of the town, and for Joshua's sake.

Still, eventually he'd like to get to know her a bit better on her own terms. It's something he's looking forward to.

RANK 2
MOON
MAYA AMANO
Exceptionally kind, and very much like a big sister figure. Minato's still figuring her out, but Maya's another of those people with a Persona that she can summon at will, just like Nanjo. What happened to make it so he had to end up using an Evoker...? He's really not sure. Either way, he's starting to learn about Maya and the things she's been through, and he hopes that she can catch a break here.

After all, someone who went through all of that for the sake of the world and her friends surely deserves some sort of vacation, right...? Either way, for now her positivity is nice to be around, if a bit overwhelming sometimes.

RANK 4
SUN
OCHAKO URARAKA
Positive, warm, kind and sweet. Ochako is the sort of person who it doesn't really matter what they're doing--Minato is grateful just for her company. Learning from her, growing with her, and talking to her... it always brightens his day, and he knows that she's sunshine and warmth for everyone in Awash. Even if he knows it's sometimes cruel to be grateful that people are here... he's very, very glad that Ochako is here, for the sake of everyone in this town.

If he had to pick one person who is the true example of what a hero is in this place, it would be her--so he's sure she's going to reach her aspirations just fine. Being her friend and getting to see what impressive new heights she reaches along the way is just a bonus.

RANK 3
JUDGEMENT
ELIZABETH
A very sweet girl who's been through way too much. They've chatting about all sorts of things, and while they're both quiet, lowkey people, Minato's pretty sure that Elizabeth's one of the most dependable people Minato's met here. They've tangled with wild geese and crazy punishments and quests that are totally ridiculous, and more than anything, one of the things Minato wants to do here is see Elizabeth properly to Paris, just like she's dreaming of.

Still, "Judgement"...? That's not an Arcana he sees very often. Is Elizabeth okay...?
