[Video] 001 ☽
[At first, when your SFC clicks on, all that can be seen is blue--the blue of the ocean above the barrier. The video seems to be...rocking back and forth, slowly, and the gentle slap slap slap of what might be...small waves...? against something can be heard.
A long pause.
Then the video shifts and changes before settling on a young man who seems to be...lying down, holding the SFC up, peering at it.
A red light...?]
...It's recording...?
[A puzzled (and slightly soggy) blink, and he begins to sit up.]
Why am I on a boat--
[Too late. His sitting up tilts the small boat off balance.
Tilting--
Splash!
...oops.
ooc: feel free to respond with either video or action, guys!]

[Action]
There are clothes you can change into at the shelter. And this basket is for you. [he lifted it up to show its contents - there are two brochures (an information one and the other is a map originally done by Akina) as well as a small packed lunchbox.]
[Action]
Thank you.
[And he stands.]
If it happens at night, we should probably start moving.
[...though--]
Is it obvious when it is night down here?
[Action]
And not when you're not used to it. But over time, you'll be able to tell the temperature differences. It's also a lot darker at night.
You can always check the time on the SFC, too. Each of us have one upon arrival. No one knows why, though. [turning now!] Let's go now, okay?
[Action]
[It seems he will just need to get used to all of this, then. And he stands to follow!]
Lead the way.
[And once they start walking, he'll ask--]
Have you been here long, Red-san?
[Action]
... It's really bizarre when I think of it. But maybe time just passes too fast.
[Action]
But he simply nods.]
That is a long time. Does everyone stay that long?
[Action]
I'm sorry. I know that it is hard to take. I felt that way, too. But this is what's happening...
However, if it makes it better - the time in your home is not the same as this place. Because Vatheon, this city, is in a different dimension entirely. Recently, someone from my world came. But to him, it's as if I never left.
[Action]
...Then are we still in our own worlds as well as here, or does time stop in our own worlds?
[Action]
Last month, my friend arrived. And to him, he last saw me two months ago. When I found that out, I immediately knew that our time gap with each other is too big. I've been in Vatheon for six months that time... I haven't seen him in eight months.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
That's a relief.
[...]
You mentioned a crisis. What happens at night?
[Action]
This never happened before. But— [he stopped talking and walking, just so he could face a particular direction then pointed out towards where the crashed pirate ship is]
That ship... It's haunted. It attacked us a few days ago and crashed unto the barrier. It's been stuck like that since then and at night, ghost pirates would roam and harm people.
[Action]
Huh. That's not something you see everyday. Still, a pirate ship is a bit difficult to get rid of.]
Has anyone found a way to stop it from happening?
[Action] Sorry this took so long!
[Action] It's no problem, dear. <333
There will be a way to stop it. We just need to find it.
[Action] <333 ;w;
You're right... I'm sure that things will be okay.
[Action]
But if it's filled with people as friendly as Red, why not? And so he nods, smiling lightly.]
I take it the pirates are a new thing, then, Red-san?
[Action]
... It's a new thing, yeah. There's always something new happening here. You can read about all that in the brochure.
Actually, you're the first one I've given this version. Someone made a brochure months ago, but it hasn't been updated and that person was often a victim of this world's tricks. He'd come and go constantly.
I decided to rewrite the brochure, so I hope it makes sense...
[Action]
It looks well-written to me, Red-san. If you'd like, I can look it over when we get there? After all, from the perspective of someone new, I can let you know if it is helpful.
[The smile suggests he knows it will be.]
[Action]
The small surprise was on Red's face for a second, then he smiled out happily. It would definitely be a huge help to him, too. He can't really tell if it was useful or not... But the compliment and the smile did encourage him.]
... Thank you.
[Action]
No need to thank me. You're doing a good service for everyone who arrives here, right?
If you ever need any other help with it, I'd be happy to help out in any way, if I can.
[Action]
[He lowered his head a bit, but he still continued to smile.]
This is the first time I'm doing something like this, too. I don't really know how to go about it to implement it formally... I'm just casually handing out baskets for now.
It would be nice if others also started doing it, not just me.
[Action]
I can help distribute them, if you'd like. It'd be more efficient, and we'd be less likely to miss someone with more people handing them out.
[Action]
... Minato. I'm glad I met you.
