[Video] 006 ☽
[So amidst all of the insanity? The kraken attack and the craziness? There is Minato making an oh-so necessary broadcast. He seems to be leaning against the side of a building, but despite the crashing of what must be tentacles and the panicked atmosphere, he looks pretty calm. Is that blood on his temple...? Oh maybe. And he might be holding his torso, but details.
Crash. He blinks, glancing up for a moment, before shaking his head slightly.]
It seems like the kraken's tentacles completely surround the bubble. If you're looking for a safe place to go, the caverns beneath the church's ruins should be safe from the tentacles. At the very least, the people who can't fight and the injured can go there.
[A breath--is that a wince? Nah, can't be.]
If you need any help, let me know. The Defense Force should be able to help.
[That's what they're for, right? Another flash of a wince and he sets up a filter.
Filter to: Defense Forceyou know who you are]
Focus on the center bubble for now. We have to take care of the people who can't defend themselves. Will anyone volunteer to keep guard underground, in case there is something still down there...?
[Filter to: Hubert]
Hubert-san. Are you alright? I need your help with something.
[Filter to: SEES/all of you P3 people]
Stick together. We know that we can take them on together, but separating is too dangerous.
[It seems like common sense--but he remembers what happened to Aigis, So he just had to be sure. And then he turns off the filter and--fails to turn off the feed. He is looking around when a tentacle crashes down nearby. He jumps, cringing in what seems to be pain and slumps back against the wall, dropping the SFC. Clatter clatter.

My ribs for the most part, I think.
[Another breath and he winces.]
I messed up.
no subject
[A short laugh before he considers the situation for a second before squatting down next to Minato.]
But I got yer back and ya still got enough fight in ya.
Think ya can run your command center from the ship well enough?
no subject
Yeah. I'll figure it out.
[He's sensible enough to know that running around while injured and in pain is generally a bad idea.]
...Sorry.
[He hates that he messed up, but well. It was bound to happen eventually.]
no subject
Hey, when you put yerself out there like you do, it doesn't come as a surprise that ya ended up hurt eventually.
Just take care and bring a buddy with ya next time or something.
[Also that's Aniki picking you up like a sack of flour, Minato.
At least he's careful not to jostle him too much.]
no subject
So he's silent for a long moment, regaining his balance, in a way, and saying nothing.
If nothing else, this sort of pain will remind him to install a buddy system in the defense force.]
no subject
[A frown. Sure, injuries happen, but he's also getting the idea that Minato isn't quite used to this sort of fight. With a simple kick of his weapon, he's got ahold of the chain and they're fly off the ground with the propulsion of fire.
Don't ask, Minato.]
no subject
But either way he just nods, taking a silent breath before responding.]
I'm alright.
[and he will be alright. He knows it.
Also no comments on the fire anchor. He probably wouldn't say anything on a good day--]
no subject
[Just his way of acknowledging that he definitely agrees. He really doesn't have any advice besides suck it up and move on because... what is medicine or healing magic in his world?
Eventually though, they do make it back to the ship with a soft enough descent and Aniki hops off the anchor without any wasted energy anyway, never breaking his stride.
Noticeably, he takes the stairs instead of hopping down all the trap doors he memorized by heart.]
no subject
He's quiet in return, thoughts on this and on what needs to be done, for focusing on the future is by far the easiest way to deal with pain, he's noticed.
There isn't anyone he trusts more than he trusts Aniki here, after all, aside from his team, so he can lack just a bit of a focus until they reach where they're going.]
no subject
Oh hey Minato, he brought you to your room.
Then he places the kid on the bed and sighs before asking-]
... so what're you supposed to do with this kind of injury?
no subject
...To be honest, I don't think there's a way to treat them even in my time. Just painkillers and being careful to not make it worse.
[Oh well.]
no subject
Take it easy, alright?
[No, he doesn't know what painkillers are.
No, he doesn't know where to find them.
... but he has an idea and that's why he's walking out of the room without another word.]
no subject
Alright.
Bye aniki.
He didn't even get a chance to thank him. So he'll have to remember to thank him later but for now he scoots back on the bed until he can lean against the wall, exhaling and trying to relax a bit. And then he reaches for his SFC. Things to do still, despite his current state.]
no subject
Because when he comes back, he tosses a bag over beside Minato.]
Somethin' in there work?
[Different kinds of painkillers, Minato.
He didn't know which one was appropriate so he got them all.
Yes, he's been spending the last 25 minutes at Nostalgia Nook.]
no subject
So he blinks and peers into the bag and
oh
o h. He's kind of stunned, but he does manage to look up and nod, despite his surprise.]
...Ah. Yes, this is more than enough.
Thank you, Aniki.
[This is kind of more than he was ever expecting, even if it is Motochika--]
no subject
Then you take a breather. I'll be back later. Whistle for Chibioni if ya need anything in the ship and call if there's anythin' else, alright?
[This time, he doesn't go right away - he'll let Minato have the last word.]
no subject
It's hard not to smile when someone does something like that for you.]
Alright, I will.
[A quiet breath. And it's pretty heartfelt, because he's touched. Very touched.]
Thank you.
