[Video] 006 ☽

[So amidst all of the insanity? The kraken attack and the craziness? There is Minato making an oh-so necessary broadcast. He seems to be leaning against the side of a building, but despite the crashing of what must be tentacles and the panicked atmosphere, he looks pretty calm. Is that blood on his temple...? Oh maybe. And he might be holding his torso, but details.

Crash. He blinks, glancing up for a moment, before shaking his head slightly.]

It seems like the kraken's tentacles completely surround the bubble. If you're looking for a safe place to go, the caverns beneath the church's ruins should be safe from the tentacles. At the very least, the people who can't fight and the injured can go there.

[A breath--is that a wince? Nah, can't be.]

If you need any help, let me know. The Defense Force should be able to help.

[That's what they're for, right? Another flash of a wince and he sets up a filter.

Filter to: Defense Force you know who you are]

Focus on the center bubble for now. We have to take care of the people who can't defend themselves. Will anyone volunteer to keep guard underground, in case there is something still down there...?

[Filter to: Hubert]

Hubert-san. Are you alright? I need your help with something.

[Filter to: SEES/all of you P3 people]

Stick together. We know that we can take them on together, but separating is too dangerous.

[It seems like common sense--but he remembers what happened to Aigis, So he just had to be sure. And then he turns off the filter and--fails to turn off the feed. He is looking around when a tentacle crashes down nearby. He jumps, cringing in what seems to be pain and slumps back against the wall, dropping the SFC. Clatter clatter.

For all you know, I could simply be trying to fool you. And don't talk as if you know anything about me.

[... He really just wants Minato to hate him, so that he can believe that he's like everyone else.]

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-17 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[shut up stop using logic]

That doesn't mean you know a single thing about me.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
And yet you presume quite a bit.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[... It's when Minato asks questions like these that Tiir feels vaguely like he's walking to his execution.

There's silence, before—]

Very well.

[... In a way, it hurts.

For a moment, Tiir's expression falters, and his uncertainty flickers across his face—]

[—and then he immediately covers it up with a smirk.

He doesn't trust humans. Shouldn't, won't, can't. He's known for most of his life, after all—that no matter how much he cries, his words won't ever reach anyone. And so, regardless of how well Minato can read him, how tempting it is to believe in him... he won't.

And so, even though he won't admit it, it hurts because a part of him wants to.]

Something like that... ah, how casually you say it.

[...]

But even if you think you're being sincere, it won't last.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[Just keep talking. Smirk. Know what you're saying—]

Of course. You're a human and I'm a 'monster'. In the end, one way or another, you'll find a reason to hate me—a reason to want me dead.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[He lets out an amused sound at that, because really, there's a certain amount of irony in that.]

Oh? I'm simply using the name that humans like you gave me.

[Whether he considers himself one or not is an entirely different matter—and if you were to ask him, he'd say no.]

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
And next, you'll be saying that they should think of me as an actual person.

[Heh.]

You're expecting far too much from humans. Either way... 'monster', 'Iino Doue'—it doesn't matter what they call me. What they think of me won't change.

At the very least, I'd rather they be forthright with their hatred than try to deceive me with pretty words.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-23 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
How exactly would I do that? I've told you before: it's futile. No matter what, they'll always scorn us, despise us, and label us as taboo.

Those lowly humans are the ones who wanted me to be a monster so badly—so why deny them?

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-25 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Because they're one in the same. Humans won't change, and neither will how they view us. I see no reason to set myself up to be disappointed.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-28 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
What way is there of stopping them? Other than silencing them for good, but I doubt that that's what you were thinking of.

[identity profile] contemptibility.livejournal.com 2011-10-29 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
[At that, he laughs, because—]

If you truly believe that that would change anything, then you're even more naive than I thought.
