[When the SFC clicks on the first thing to be seen is a Zorua peering curiously into the screen; it would appear we know the culprit for turning it on.]

--Benzomaru, come on.

[The Zorua moves away cheerfully to show a blue-haired protagonist sitting at what looks like the Welcoming Committee desk, if the papers and the pictures of a cheerful Pikachu behind him are any indication. It looks like he didn't mean to make the broadcast at all, but what can you do when you've got a very mischievous Pokemon?

He reaches for his headphones then, lifting them to his ears and fiddling with his MP3 player for a moment--

But only for a brief moment, because then he frowns and lowers the headphones, looking them over with a curiously sad expression coming from him. The Zorua yips at him and he sighs, nodding.]

I think they're broken...

[It's just a pair of headphones, right? He does look rather sad about it, though--

But regardless, the Zorua takes his voice as an invitation, jumping up and knocking the SFC off the desk. It clatters to the ground, and--

[Oh thank god for the library and its spread of knowledge. Guy's been wanting to fiddle with some electrical work ever since he got his hands on books discussing modern technology... and this might just be his chance.

They don't look worn or frayed anywhere. They're a little too far from the screen to be sure, though, and Guy can only see so much by squinting at the SFC.]

Electronics are still kind of new to me. If you'd like, though, I could take a look at them. It might just be an easy fix, unless you've dunked them in water recently.

[....oh.

That's interesting. He blinks.]

[Guy's refraining from fistpumping in delight. He's already plucking a couple tinkering items from across his apartment.]

Haha, it's not a problem at all!

[Parts of his responses are shouted a bit as he wanders off-screen in his searching.]

Ah, I won't promise any miracles... but hey, the least I could do is check them out for you. Just send me some directions on how to get to your home... go ahead and send me a text about it... I'll see what I can do!

[A pause, some clattering of items off-screen, and then Guy's face re-appears, his expression a little sheepish.]

Ah, sorry, I got a little caught up. I didn't catch your name?

[....so enthusiastic. But he's happy to see someone else getting something out of this, at least.]

That sounds fine. I'm Minato. It's nice to meet you...? [WHOEVER YOU ARE.

But a few seconds later he also sends a text to the Welcoming Committee in the center plaza by the coral. Knock yourself out, Guy. Only not literally.]

[WHOOPS. He got a bit too excited -- Where were his manners today...] The name's Guy. Nice to meet you as well, Minato! I should be there in just a minute.

[And with that, his video feed clicks off.]

[Guy is out the door moments later, walking briskly into the plaza with a book on electronics in one hand and various small tools in the other. Spotting the Welcoming Committee's building, he makes his way across the cobblestone and, after stopping a moment to catch his breath, pulls the door open.

Quaint little place... He notices the desk in the front room and takes a hesitant step inside.]

Hello?

[...er.

OKAY. He just goes back to his work. And when Guy gets there, he blinks and looks up, tilting his head.]

Guy-san...?

Oh. Welcome.
