Yeah, that's a good idea too... somehow, we'll have to be careful of things like that.

... I've tried what healing magic I have, but it hasn't really helped. [SO THERE'S THAT.]

What all healing magic is that? I don't think I know of any other healers except for one I've only talked to on the network who ain't really my biggest fan.

I don't even know who Dave is talking about. [He's also not one who asks about healing magic so whatever.] But yeah. What kind of healing magic do you have?

Maribelle-san, probably? [She seems like the sort of person who wouldn't get along with Dave, and also he knows she has healing magic.

But regardless, uh...]

The... usual kind? [Are there a lot of kinds of healing magic...] I can usually heal injuries and also status ailments, but none of that has worked here.

The kinda naggy one yeah. I think she'd help if we really did need, but if your rpg magic ain't working on this I dunno why hers would. [ he huffs a sigh. while hanging off john so probably at john. ]

[There's a quiet laugh because that huff hits his ear and kind of tickles but whatever.]

Oh. She's the one who yelled about magic, right? [She yelled at John specifically but whatever.] Something about tomes. But that is really cool, Minato! Even...if it isn't working on Vriska. Isn't there a spell to heal petrification ailments? That sounds very RPG-y to me.

I can't say that petrification is a status ailment I've ever encountered [That's a Persona 1 and Persona 2 affair] but...I do have a...spell that should heal all of the status ailments someone's suffering from.

[Because he's from post-game and that makes Messiah stupidly useful.]

It didn't work at all, though.

[ dave loosens his grip as it occurs to him he's probably being weird. ]

Like, weird magical ailments or also the common cold?

[He doesn't care either way but okay sure Dave. He's not quite letting go of his arm yet either so.]

Do we need to figure out a cure for the common cold?

... No, I can't cure colds. Just other ailments. You know--burn, and charm, and confusion. Those sorts.

[So yeah, the RPG ones.]

We absolutely don't, none of us has ever caught a common cold.

[ ever. clearly. dave definitely didn't get one of those. ]

But mostly I was curious how rpg we were talking.

[He just lifts his eyebrows as best as he can for Dave to see while he's in that position but okay.]

Dryly, since this seems to be the tone we're taking here:]

RPG skills, mostly.

That actually sounds really cool! No wonder you knew what we were doing in the forest. [This is 100% not helping Vriska anymore.]

Either way, there still might be someone who specializes in petrification, right? We should keep looking for people who can help.

We can ask around. And in the meantime just...do what you've already started? Like if we're careful....

So you think she needs more blankets? [At least he's no longer focused on cracking Vriska like an egg....]

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on her and make sure nothing happens to her. That's the least I can do, really.

...And I guess we can use more blankets, too.

Yeah, I think blankets would be good. Might help keep her a little safer too. [ his grip on john is still loose as he waits for john to release him but there's a brief re-tensing of his arm that is a kind of awkward form of a hug. ]

[There's a nod. He can accept the awkward-hug but he's still eyeing the statue incredulously before he finally loosens his own grip on Dave's arm to let him stand up.]

It makes sense to me. Keeps other stuff from getting at her, too. And you'll tell us if anything changes right Minato?

[He's still standing there with his hands balled into fists at his sides then, not sure if leaving is the best idea but they can't do much else either.]
