In truth, it is very difficult to resist when delicious foods appear... especially when they are some of my favourites that are too expensive to buy normally.

My resistance is stubbornness... I think.

Though if it appears as poise, I do not mind. At the very least, it helps me to be with others so we can distract each other from temptation.

Isn't that sort of what poise is, Kitagawa-san...? It's not that people with a lot of poise are never tempted, but that they don't let the temptation get to them even when it's right there in front of them.

I have always thought that a person with great poise may never allow even a modicum of temptation to sway them.

I don't think anyone is ever completely unswayed by temptation.

Because that's what being human's about, kind of. Having those feelings...and deciding what to do with them.
